The trail goes across moraines and reaches Annapurna Sanctuary, from where you will see amazingly beautiful imagery of the serene surroundings.
It takes you through scenic villages, rich oak, pine and rhododendron forests and affords you spectacular views of the giant snow-peaks of Annapurna I (8019m), Annapurna III (7555m), Gangapurna (7454m) and Machhapuchchhre (6999m).

Flight to Bhadrapur Airport and Transport to Darjeeling ( 7,500 ft ) Arrive at the Bhadrapur airport. Upon arrival at Bhadrapur airport, you will be received by our representatives. We will drive for one Hour to the Indian border and then coutinue to drive to Darjeleing. The drive from Bhadrapur to Darjeeling is a beautiful 5 hrs ride along forests, tea estates, and pleasant hillside towns and villages. Our drive into Darjeeling will also take us along the route of the famous Toy Train. (Overnight hotel)
We will visit the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (HMI), the center and training school for Indian climbers. The mountaineering museum. The Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park is on the premises of the HMI has a rare collection of animals, some of which include the Siberian Tigers, Red Pandas and the Snow Leopards. We will also visit the Tibetan Refugee Self Help Center. After lunch we will visit the Tea garden and the tea factory. Late afternoon tea at the Tenzing Norgay family Residence. We will have the unique opportunity to visit the late Tenzing’s personal museum, which houses an invaluable collection of medals and personal memorabilia.
Darjeeling to Gangtok: Today we will take the tou train Loy ride form Darjeeling to Ghoom ( 30 min) and then visit the train museum in Ghoom and take the trasin ride back to Darjeeling. After Lunch we will take to Drive to Gangtok. The drive to Gangtok is about 4 Hrs.
Today we will drive we’ll visit Do-Drul Chorten Stupa, an awe-inspiring stupa encircled by prayer wheels. You may spin these while walking around (clockwise only) to offer the prayer “Om Mane Padme Hum Re.” Nearby are two giant statues, simply housed, of the Lord Buddha and Guru Padmasambhava. We’ll also visit the Sikkim Research Institute of Tibetology—the only of its kind in the world—where, perhaps, the largest collection of Tibetan artifacts outside of Tibet is displayed. After lunch we’ll visit the Flower Show at White Hall, with specimens of Sikkim’s famous orchids among the variety of flora, and the Govt. Institute of Cottage Industries, where traditional handicrafts and exquisitely woven carpets are exhibited and available for sale. We may also see local artisans at work, helping to preserve these authentic Sikkimese arts.
After breakfast, we will travel 14 miles from Gangtok to visit the world-famous Rumtek Dharma Chakra Center. This monastery is the headquarters of the present seat of His Holiness, the Gyalwa Karmapa, head of the Kagyu Sect. Said to be a replica of the original Kagyurpa monastery at Tsurphu in Tibet, Rumtek is a splendid example of Tibetan monastic art with its traditional architecture, exquisite paintings, and intricate woodwork. It houses some of the world’s most unique religious scriptures, manuscripts, and religious art objects. After lunch we will drive to Kalimpong. You will have the evening to explore Kalimpong town. Overnight hotel .
